Region Services Corporate Infrastructure (RSCI) is seeking an experienced Senior Windows Client Systems Engineer with deep knowledge of Windows Client Services, including virtual desktops and infrastructure technology. Our mission is to deliver robust, highly available, and user-friendly services to our internal customers in support of the Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) for U.S. Government clients. We are looking for a motivated engineer to deliver results for our customers. This hands-on role involves maintaining and enhancing existing services, such as Windows build/deployment, application packaging/deployment, and troubleshooting across all managed technologies. The role also collaborates closely with the Security Compliance team to ensure desktop environment security compliance. You should have a diverse technical background, approach problems confidently and creatively, and be a lifelong learner to leverage rapid technological advancements for continuous improvement. A successful Windows Client Engineer will design and implement new services, automate existing processes, and mentor junior team members. The candidate must currently hold and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph, with the ability to obtain clearances for specific government agencies as needed. Key responsibilities Oversee deployment, configuration, and management of core ADC services: directory services, file and print, DNS/DHCP, application servers, and infrastructure management. In the first 6-12 months: Enhance operations management systems to support growth. Lead root cause analysis and resolution of critical issues. Mentor and develop operational engineers. Implement continuous operational improvements. Balance costs with usability, operability, and TCO. Develop automation tools for efficiency and reliability. Improve monitoring, diagnostics, and self-healing automation. A day in the life We value diverse experiences.
