Job Details Position: Semiconductor Software Engineer Department: Cockrell School of Engineering Location: MONTOPOLIS RESEARCH CENTER Hours: 40 hours/week Start Date: Ongoing Type: Expected to Continue About Us The Texas Institute for Electronics (TIE) is a semiconductor consortium supported by the University of Texas at Austin, involving government, industry, and academic partners. Our mission is to develop advanced 3D Heterogeneous Integration manufacturing technology and provide pilot manufacturing capabilities to support national security and economic growth. Benefits Competitive health benefits (100% employee premiums covered) Additional insurance options Paid time off and holidays Retirement plans with employer matching Training, conference, and tuition assistance Employee discounts and library access Responsibilities Develop software solutions for internal workflows, ETL processes, and data exchange layers Create and optimize relational database schemas Integrate data from semiconductor manufacturing equipment into workflows Consult with staff on data security and software integration Train users as needed Perform other duties as organizational needs evolve Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree with at least two years of software development experience, including one year with complex systems One year of system administration experience Proficiency in C# and another programming language Experience with PowerShell and Linux/Unix systems Ability to wear a bunny suit and enter clean rooms Strong troubleshooting and communication skills Preferred Qualifications Certifications such as MCSA or SQL Server MCSE Experience in the semiconductor industry Additional Information Salary range: $105,500+ depending on qualifications.
