Responsibilities and Duties OCT has an opening for a Security Engineer - Senior - Lead to work with our federal client, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). This role involves providing cybersecurity infrastructure support, including engineering, architecture, and implementation of security solutions. This position is contingent upon contract award. Day-to-day responsibilities include: Providing cyber infrastructure support activities in Enterprise Cybersecurity Support Leading cybersecurity engineering practices and implementations Supporting security control assessments and continuous monitoring Conducting vulnerability scanning and managing incident response processes Designing and implementing security solutions for IT systems Providing technical expertise for system integration and security architecture Supporting DevSecOps practices and secure development lifecycle Evaluating and recommending cybersecurity tools and technologies Implementing and maintaining security controls per NIST 800-53 Supporting penetration testing and security assessments Assessing and recommending access control systems, application and file security, and intrusion detection/prevention Performing system administration, configuration, patching, upgrades, and optimization of SOC tools, devices, applications, and sensors Creating and maintaining compliance content for FCC's Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) toolset Requirements Must be a U.S. citizen Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field 7+ years of experience in cyber infrastructure support activities within government contracts Core competencies in Cybersecurity Engineering practices, system architecture, and security implementation Knowledge aligned with NICE Work Role for Infrastructure Support (PD-WRL-004) Required Certifications: CISSP, CISM, or ISSEP, AND Microsoft Certified Cybersecurity Architect Expert or GIAC Security Expert (GSE) Top-Secret (TS) clearance Location : On-site at FCC headquarters; some telework may be available Benefits OCT offers competitive compensation and benefits, including: Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance Retirement plan with 3% employer contributions Paid Time Off and holidays Life Insurance, Short- and Long-Term benefits Training Benefits Salary : $125,000 - $160,000, based on experience and education About OCT Consulting OCT Consulting LLC is a minority-owned, Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) providing IT and professional services to federal and commercial clients.
