Provides planning for, direction and oversight of construction contractor craft; Original Equipment Manufactuer Techical Advisors and Nextera Operations personnel in the safe commissioning execution and testing of functional systems at new power plant projects. Acts as equipment and/or operational subject matter expert for his/her specific discipline. Provides hands on training to Nextera operators. Work on behalf of one of the world's largest renewable energy developer and builders as SCADA engineer developing and commissioning software and SCADA to control renewable power plants.

Preferred Background:
Bachelor or Equivalent degree in Engineering or Automation System with experience or related education with Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA). Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience or related education in programming and commissioning of SCADA.
Preferred Skillsets or Related Education:
Commissioning and integration of SCADA systems
Control system architecture and PLC programs
Knowledge of Ignition, OPC protocol and SCADA historian.
Knowledge of automation protocols (Modbus, DNP3, CAN, OPC, EtherNet/IP , others)
RTU to RTU interface and Programming
Schedule and planning understanding
Electrical and Communications plan-set understanding
Strong analytical skills, problem-solving
Knowledge of AC and DC circuits and troubleshooting ability.
Knowledge of Utility Meters, Substation RTAC, Protection Relays
Knowledge managed switches, Hirschman's, MOXA, Cisco, etc.
Knowledge of Networking, Cyber Security and Firewalls
Knowledge of renewable SCADA and control systems.

Duties include working with project requirements and specifications to integrate renewable power plant in SCADA to controls power generation onto the utility grid. This is non-managerial position.
