Roles and Responsibilities:

NS2 Security Engineering team members provide technical leadership and guidance on cybersecurity topics to both internal and external teams. This role involves configuring, maintaining, and administering cybersecurity technologies including Intrusion Prevention/Detection Systems, vulnerability scanners, network mapping tools and related infrastructure.

Overview of the Team Responsibilities and Core Competencies Include:

Security Engineering & Technology Management:

  • Design, configure, deploy, and manage cybersecurity technologies in response to malicious activities
  • Utilize SIEM, EDR, and other security technologies for incident response
  • Troubleshoot complex technical problems involving sophisticated cyber threats
  • Conduct regular vulnerability scans and assessments, prioritize findings based on risk, and track remediation progress
  • Recommend configuration and architectural improvements for security tools and systems
  • Implement proactive security measures, including intrusion detection systems, firewalls, and endpoint protection
  • Leading or contributing to incident response efforts to minimize damage and prevent future incidents
  • Monitoring and ensuring compliance with relevant industry regulations (e.g.: GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS) and internal security policies.
  • Generating reports on security metrics, incidents, and trends for management review

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field or equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum of five years security engineering & IT experience-- ideally with three or more years in a technology administration role
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Experience with SIEM, EDR, firewalls, and vulnerability management
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks and incident response
  • Cloud security experience
  • Scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, BASH)
  • Enterprise security architecture experience
  • CI/CD pipeline experience e.g.: Gitlab, GitHub Actions, etc.
  • Understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and cloud platforms

SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 120800 - 253800(USD) USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
