Job Title: Sales Engineer
Job Description: As a Sales Engineer, you will drive business through the construction contracting tiers and grow our end-user client base. Our projects cover a wide range of sizes and vertical markets, from classrooms to museums to hospitals. You will have ownership of the full sales process, including lead generation, estimating, proposal response, and closing activities.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for planning and executing an annual sales plan to achieve goals
- Develop, collaborate, and implement strategic account plans and strategic opportunity plans to support major opportunities and accounts
- Become a subject matter expert in product and services
- Adopt and follow a sales process to identify, qualify, develop, and close projects
- Represent Hoffman Building Technologies at industry events, trade organizations, and charitable benefits
- Provide feedback to management, operations, and engineering teams on market conditions
- Manage all aspects of pre-sale activities with internal and external partners
- Work with sub-contractor and supplier partners to develop cost effective solutions
- Collaborate with service team during pre-bid activities to leverage existing owner relationships
- Regularly interface with customers through entertaining, educating, building relationships, and providing assistance.
- Perform and manage service projects as needed. Duties shall include installation & troubleshooting of various control systems as well as managing the day-to-day on said projects.

Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience selling, estimating, or managing controls, energy services, HVAC systems, IoT solutions, or low voltage systems
- Mechanical or Electrical engineering degrees or equivalent experience preferred
- Excellent written and verbal presentation skills
- Knowledge of the Raleigh, NC and surrounding areas construction and engineering customers preferred
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations involving energy reduction and conservation measures
- Self-Motivated
- Be able to lift and carry drawings, personal computers, material, demo parts, displays, etc.
- Maintain a satisfactory driving record, which, per Hoffman and Hoffman’s vehicle policy, allows the individual to drive a company vehicle and/or drive on company business.
