Sales Engineer – Southeast Region Location: Greenville/Spartanburg, SC (Hybrid, Regional Travel >50%) Compensation: Base + Uncapped Commission + 401(k) Match + Full Benefits Reports to: Director of Sales Type: Full-time | High-Travel Role | Regional Territory Ownership Sector: Capital Equipment / Industrial Systems About The Company This U.S.-based capital equipment company delivers precision-engineered thermal processing solutions to advanced manufacturing clients. With a growing customer base across aerospace, defense, and automotive sectors, they are expanding their national sales team and hiring a high-performing Sales Engineer to lead growth across the Southeastern U.S. The Opportunity This role is ideal for a technically-minded salesperson who thrives in the field and enjoys owning a broad regional territory. You'll build deep relationships with plant managers, engineers, and procurement leads, delivering customized furnace solutions that solve complex operational challenges. You'll be backed by strong internal engineering support, a CRM-driven sales process, and a leadership team committed to your success. What You'll Do Territory Ownership Drive revenue across 12 states: AL, AR, FL, GA, KY, LA, MS, NC, OK, SC, TN, VA
Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities across key industrial sectors
Build and manage a healthy pipeline using Salesforce and CRM best practices
Plan and execute efficient travel schedules centered around key anchor cities
Solution Selling Lead customer discovery, technical needs assessments, and site visits
Deliver compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations
Develop proposals tailored to the technical and commercial needs of each customer
Collaborate with engineering to refine specifications and implementation plans
Customer Engagement & Reporting Maintain long-term client relationships across multiple buying influences
Log all in-person and virtual meetings with actionable follow-ups in Salesforce
Submit detailed travel plans and expense reports within established timelines
Represent the company at industry trade shows (planned annually in advance)
You'd Be a Great Fit If You Have: 3+ years in capital equipment, industrial systems, or technical B2B sales
Experience managing multi-state territories and high-volume travel
Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Bachelor's degree preferred (engineering or technical field a plus)
High ownership mentality and a disciplined, self-directed work ethic
