Cloud Engineer Position

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer with at least 5 years of AWS expertise to join our Retail Deployment Services and Lab Infrastructure team, focusing on Amazon Fresh Store technology infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker capable of driving cloud infrastructure innovation, mentoring team members, and translating complex technical challenges into actionable solutions, with additional experience in Windows solutions, POS systems, device management and software deployment platforms like SCCM or AirWatch. Key job responsibilities include: executing and optimizing cloud infrastructure projects, designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure for technology platforms, troubleshooting complex technical challenges, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and leadership, developing and optimizing workflow procedures for cloud deployment, management, and software deployment platforms like SCCM or AirWatch, providing comprehensive documentation, supporting operational excellence, driving continuous improvement initiatives, mentoring junior team members, contributing to technological knowledge sharing, and proactively challenging existing technological paradigms.

A day in the life includes reviewing overnight cloud monitoring alerts and performance dashboards, analyzing AWS CloudWatch metrics for any potential infrastructure anomalies, collaborating with cross-functional teams in stand-up meetings, analyzing root cause using advanced diagnostic tools, updating operational documentation, KPI tracking: infrastructure uptime; deployment efficiency, refining automation scripts for infrastructure management.

Basic Qualifications: 5+ years professional AWS cloud engineering experience, cloud infrastructure design and deployment expertise, understanding of cloud architecture best practices, Windows engineering and enterprise device management skills, innovative technological approach development, complex technical challenge resolution, cross-functional communication proficiency, proven ability to work effectively in diverse team environments, strong interpersonal and collaborative skills, ability to translate complex technical concepts for leadership, adaptive and critical thinking skills, intellectual curiosity and rapid learning capacity.

Preferred Qualifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect or equivalent cloud certification, Microsoft Technical Certifications, additional professional technical credentials preferred, bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, equivalent work experience may be considered, ongoing commitment to professional development and continuous learning, strategic problem-solving capabilities, advanced analytical skills, experience with complex cloud solution implementations, proven track record of addressing technical challenges, demonstrated ability to work effectively in diverse team environments, innovative mindset with strategic technological vision.
