Base pay range $100,000.00/yr - $140,000.00/yr Research & Development Engineer About the Role As a core member of our growing team, you'll lead lab-scale technology development and help scale up our novel electrolyzer systems. This role requires a hands-on engineer with a strong background in electrochemical systems, process scale-up, and experimental design. Startup experience is a plus, as we value independence, critical prioritization, and proactive collaboration. Key Responsibilities Uphold and continuously improve laboratory safety protocols Independently design, execute, and analyze electrochemical experiments Communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders Participate in the design, assembly, and operation of test equipment, including electrolyzer hardware Support facility operations and maintenance across the full R&D process Contribute to intellectual property development for low-cost green hydrogen production What We’re Looking For Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or related field 1–2 years of experience in electrochemical system scale-up (electrolyzers, fuel cells, etc.) Hands-on experience with fluid systems, process piping, and instrumentation/control systems Familiarity with data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Python, MATLAB, R) Comfortable lifting and handling equipment up to 50 lbs Experience working with hazardous chemicals and electrical systems in a team environment Note: Not all requirements are mandatory—passionate, capable candidates are encouraged to apply.
