Summary:


Our award-winning client is seeking an Reliability Engineer to join their team. We're seeking a proactive and skilled Reliability Engineer to join our Maintenance Department. Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, you'll be crucial in optimizing the performance and lifespan of our manufacturing equipment and processes.

You'll use your engineering expertise to identify and resolve recurring issues, implement preventative strategies, and manage projects that enhance our operational efficiency and reduce downtime.


Responsibilities:

  • Equipment Reliability & Optimization:

    • Analyze equipment repair and improvement needs, pinpointing solutions to recurring issues to prevent future breakdowns and production downtime.

    • Develop and implement efficient equipment strategies by gathering and analyzing data on maintenance activities and processes.

    • Continuously seek opportunities with operations to improve existing equipment systems based on reliability analysis.

  • Project Management & Execution:

    • Develop comprehensive expense and capital projects, including defining scope, evaluating alternatives, generating estimates, preparing project papers, and managing budgets.

    • Execute projects from start to finish, which involves selecting and overseeing contractors, writing RFQs, awarding bids, and inspecting/approving work.

    • Supervise contractors, ensuring compliance with all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) regulations.

  • Engineering Analysis & Design:

    • Analyze product and equipment specifications to ensure designs are compatible with existing manufacturing capabilities.

    • Evaluate engineering proposals and technical data related to industrial machinery and equipment design.

    • Determine the feasibility of new or modified plant equipment, considering costs, space, timelines, and other technical and economic factors.

    • Utilize computer-assisted engineering and design software for plant equipment, facilities, and production methods.

    • Compile and analyze operational, test, and research data to establish performance standards for new or modified equipment.

  • Technical Support & Program Development:

    • Provide technical insights on manufacturing techniques, material properties, and process advantages/limitations that impact long-term plant and product planning.

    • Assist in the design and implementation of Electrical/Mechanical Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) programs.

    • Stay current with industry technical changes and developments through continuous learning.


Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial).

  • 3-5 years of engineering experience, with a strong preference for experience in Maintenance Reliability and High Voltage Electrical systems.

  • Reliability Certification and Manufacturing experience are preferred.

  • Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) is preferred.

  • Knowledge of federal mining laws (MSHA) and mining methods, including the use and operation of related equipment, is a plus.

  • Experience with the installation, basic maintenance, or operation of mine ventilation, materials processing/handling systems, and/or mine shaft maintenance is beneficial.


  • Work Ethic & Environment:

    • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including both first and partial third shifts (approximately 55 hours per week).

    • Must be able to climb ladders, steps, crawl, and bend regularly.

    • Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds regularly.

    • Committed to working safely in varying temperatures year-round while wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including steel-toe shoes and safety glasses.
