Our architecture leverages silicon photonics, enabling high-volume semiconductor manufacturing and compatibility with existing cryogenic cooling systems and fiber connectivity. In 2024, PsiQuantum announced projects to develop Quantum Data Centers and utility-scale quantum computers in Brisbane, Australia, and Chicago, Illinois, supported by national initiatives to scale quantum technology. This role involves designing and developing high-efficiency, super-fast photon detectors essential for photon-based quantum computing. Responsibilities include: Performing data analysis and developing algorithms. Creating physics-based and electronic predictive models of detectors. Mapping superconducting models and simulation results to experimental data. Designing superconducting detectors and layouts. Collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams to understand system constraints. Surveying literature on superconducting detectors. Qualifications include a PhD in Physics or Electrical Engineering, 2+ years of experience with superconducting devices, proficiency in Python, and familiarity with office tools.
