WORK LOCATION:
This is a fully onsite role based at either our Milwaukee, WI or Canby, OR facility—your choice! Join us in a collaborative, hands-on environment where you'll be immersed in the heart of our operations five days a week.
SUMMARY
We are seeking a strategic EMS Quote Process Manager to lead and oversee quoting activities across our manufacturing facilities. This high-impact role requires deep EMS experience and a proactive mindset to deliver fast, accurate, and competitive quotes while anticipating customer needs and risks. The ideal candidate brings strong costing expertise, commercial acumen, and the ability to shape quoting strategies that win business and build trust with key accounts.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead quoting efforts across labor, materials, and assembly processes.
- Ensure consistency in markup application and alignment with margin goals.
- Review BOMs, supplier pricing, and PCB documentation for completeness.
- Work with sales, engineering, and purchasing to align quote scope and timelines.
- Support quality compliance assumptions (ISO, IPC, and customer standards).
- Develop strategic quoting scenarios to address risk, options, and cost tradeoffs.
- Propose materials assurance and risk mitigation plans from prototype through ramp.
- Understand and quote custom materials, including plastics, metals, and cable assemblies.
- Evaluate and apply tariff-avoidance strategies during sourcing and cost modeling.
- Identify and price specialized equipment required to support new programs.
- Coordinate test development quotes and ensure total program costs are captured.
- Standardize tools, processes, and quote documentation across sites.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of experience in EMS quoting, costing, or program management.
- Strong knowledge of PCB assembly, box build, and labor quoting.
- Experience sourcing and quoting custom materials: metals, plastics, cables, etc.
- Understanding of tariff impacts and sourcing strategies to minimize duties.
- Proficient in Excel and quoting platforms (e.g., CalcuQuote, ERP systems).
- Strong communication and strategic thinking skills to support business growth.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
