Quality Engineer

Acara Solutions is looking for a Quality Engineer for one of our clients in Addison, IL. This is a full time direct hire, exempt, on-Site position. Office hours Mon-Fri 8am-4:30pm, salary range $90-$110K depending on , must be accountable and willing to put in the time and effort to push things forward within the company
Summary Plans and conducts activities concerned with the quality assurance of industrial processes, materials, and products by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be , including vendor quality manuals and company quality records. Maintains a working knowledge of government and industry quality assurance codes and standards and provide training throughout the company. Maintain a certified internal auditor status to review and ensure compliance as it relates to internal and government requirements: AS9100, EASA, and FAA certifications. Ensure company compliance to AS9100 and FAA Quality requirements and guarantee all departments meet the current requirements and/or have actions plans to meet. Senior member of Material Review Board (MRB) responsible for material dispositions. Lead and support both internal/external audits and source inspections. Supports responses to customer generated corrective action requests and RCCA. Write, review, and approve First Article Inspection documentation to ensure customer and internal requirements are met. Provides support to assembly and shop for issues with material nonconformances. Provide and review training to ensure certified assembler and test technician compliance. Investigate and support customer complaints regarding quality. Supports the company with EASA/FAA required documentation in all areas as well as supporting final inspection as requested. Employee's primary duties require him/her to use discretion and independent judgment.
Required Skills / Qualifications:Bachelor's degree or equivalent; or 2+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
