Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Engineer to join our world-class team at our top-ranked aerospace company. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality across our aerospace products and processes, with a focus on maintaining compliance with AS9100 standards and conducting comprehensive audits. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems in accordance with AS9100 standards and other relevant aerospace industry requirements. Plan, conduct, and lead internal and external quality audits to ensure compliance with company policies, customer requirements, and industry regulations. Analyze audit findings, identify root causes of non-conformances, and develop corrective and preventive action plans. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives and enhance product quality and reliability. Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, conducting supplier audits and assessments as needed. Develop and maintain quality documentation, including procedures, work instructions, and quality manuals. Provide technical support and guidance to manufacturing and engineering teams on quality-related issues. Participate in design reviews, failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), and other quality planning activities. Investigate customer complaints and non-conformances, leading root cause analysis and implementing effective solutions. Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and potential risks. Train and mentor team members on quality processes, tools, and best practices. Stay current with industry standards, regulations, and emerging technologies relevant to aerospace quality management. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality engineering within the aerospace industry. In-depth knowledge of AS9100 quality management system requirements and implementation. Proven experience in planning and conducting internal and external audits in aerospace environments. Strong understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes, materials, and technologies. Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies such as Six Sigma, Lean, 8D, and statistical process control (SPC). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and drive improvements. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization. Proficiency in quality management software and Microsoft Office suite. Certification as a Quality Auditor (CQA) or Quality Engineer (CQE) from ASQ is highly desirable. Familiarity with other relevant aerospace standards such as ISO 9001, NADCAP, and FAA regulations.
