As part of the Send to Amazon - STA Platforms (STAP) team, you will play a crucial role in creating the user interface platform for sellers to inbound their products. Our team is responsible for codebase management, development practices, CI/CD pipelines, and providing on-call support. We work in an agile environment, offering flexibility in technology and product direction.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop comprehensive test strategies, plans, and methodologies to ensure software quality and reliability.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and product managers, to understand quality requirements and design effective test strategies.
Provide input on release planning and assess software readiness for production deployment.
Identify pain points in component teams and provide technical guidance.
Create, maintain, and execute test cases for functional, regression, performance, and security testing.
Document defects, issues, and potential areas for improvement within the software development process.
Perform root cause analysis and collaborate with the development team to enhance product quality.
Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in QA and testing to continuously improve processes.
Define metrics for measuring and reporting on software quality and test effectiveness.
Basic Qualifications:
5+ years of quality assurance engineering experience.
Experience in both automation and manual testing.
Strong scripting or coding skills.
Experience leading QA on medium to large projects.
4+ years of experience delivering test automation and leading QA initiatives.
Solid understanding of QA methodologies and tools in a QAE role.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with automated test frameworks like Selenium or Appium.
Proficient in gathering test requirements to create detailed test plans and define quality metrics.
Familiarity with modern object-oriented programming languages such as C++, Java, or Objective C.
Strong communication skills with development teams regarding feature design and quality expectations.
Experience collaborating with external QA teams on testing strategies.
