As a Quality Assurance Engineer for Production, your primary responsibility will be to guarantee that Air Squared's products uphold exceptional quality standards. In this full-time, exempt role, you will collaborate closely with various departments to establish and enforce quality policies, procedures, and standards, driving continual improvement in our production processes. In this influential position, you will join our dedicated team of production quality technicians, engaging in tasks such as process monitoring, inspections, defect analysis, root cause investigations, and leading RMA evaluations. Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills are essential to succeed in this role. Train production and quality staff on best quality practices, including inspections and containment procedures. Oversee containment and corrective actions when production defects arise. Lead teams in planning and implementing corrective actions. Support the establishment and use of product traceability systems. Utilize data analysis to proactively identify potential quality issues. Drive continual improvement initiatives, using production quality data to inform priorities and report on success to management. Ensure that insights from previous projects enhance the quality management process. Create and maintain quality control routines and documentation, including production part master and checklists. Develop production control plans and handle non-conforming material reviews. Review and approve measurement system analyses and process capability studies. Maintain DFMEA & PFMEA documentation, ensuring regular reviews by engineering teams. Support accurate RMA evaluations, ensuring thorough root cause analysis and cross-functional collaboration as needed. Keep all process documentation current and notify relevant parties of any required changes. Participate in and assist with internal audit systems. Perform additional tasks as required. Qualifications: Submission of resume is required for consideration. Bachelor's degree in business, quality, or a relevant engineering field. Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. Experience developing or improving ISO9001 quality systems. Familiarity with IATF16949 quality systems is preferred. Expertise in Root Cause Analysis tools such as 8D, 5Why, and Ishikawa. Proficient with data analysis tools including PiWeb, Minitab, Excel, and MS Access. Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma experience are advantageous. Experience in developing production quality control systems (e.g., Control Plans, FMEA, MSA, Calibration) is required. Knowledge of Statistical Process Control is preferred. A minimum of 3 years in Quality Engineering is desirable.
