Job Summary We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to lead the design, development, and execution of robust testing strategies for cloud-based web applications. This role requires strong expertise in test automation, API testing, and quality engineering practices, along with the ability to work in complex, cross-functional environments. Key Responsibilities Define and implement comprehensive test strategies, frameworks, and best practices aligned with organizational goals and industry standards Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and automation scripts for cloud-based and web applications Perform various types of testing including functional, regression, end-to-end (E2E), performance, security, and usability testing Develop and maintain test automation frameworks to improve efficiency and scalability Conduct API testing using REST endpoints to validate backend services Monitor, triage, and resolve production incidents, ensuring timely escalation and resolution Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for defects and production issues, and implement preventive measures Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA teams to ensure high-quality deliverables Track and report defects, test metrics, and quality insights to stakeholders Continuously improve testing processes, tools, and automation capabilities Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field 10+ years of IT experience, including 5+ years in software testing/QA Strong experience in test automation and quality engineering Hands-on experience with web application testing in cloud environments Proficiency in API testing (RESTful services) Experience with test management and defect tracking tools Solid understanding of software testing methodologies and QA processes Preferred Qualifications Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including logs and storage services Knowledge of automotive systems testing, including CAN signals and embedded integration testing Familiarity with vehicle electrical concepts (e.g., PWM, logic gates) Experience with test-driven development (TDD) or similar practices Key Skills QA Automation API Testing Cloud Testing (GCP preferred) Test Strategy & Planning Defect Management & RCA Web Application Testing Work Environment Hybrid work model: 4 days onsite per week Collaborative, fast-paced engineering environment Nice to Have Experience in automotive domain testing Exposure to embedded systems and integration testing frameworks What Makes HTC A Great Place To Build Your Future HTC Global Services wants you to join our team.
