About the Role Clarvida is seeking a  Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist   to deliver psychiatric and medication management services to program clients in San Diego, CA. This PT 29 hours a week contract position pays starting at $160/hr and includes supervision of nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and providing clinical oversight in coordination with other staff. You’ll diagnose, evaluate, and monitor psychiatric treatment within a team-based, trauma-informed care model. Responsibilities Perform psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and assessments

Prescribe medication and monitor side effects

Supervise and provide clinical oversight to NPs, RNs, and support staff

Participate in treatment planning and multidisciplinary team processes

Maintain clinical documentation and reporting standards

Ensure compliance with HIPAA, licensing, and ethical guidelines

Consult with external medical professionals as needed

May provide direct therapy or emergency psychiatric consultation

Collaborate with nursing staff and other clinicians to integrate care

Required Qualifications MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school

Board certified or board eligible in Psychiatry

Licensed to practice medicine independently in California

Completion of psychiatry residency and 2-year child & adolescent fellowship

Strong leadership, clinical, and communication skills

Proficiency with electronic health records

Preferred Qualifications Experience working with youth or in community mental health settings

Prior experience supervising nursing or psychiatric teams

Familiarity with public mental health systems

Compensation & Benefits Starting at $160.00 per hour
