Job Description
We are seeking an Entry-Level Project Engineer to join our team for a confidential healthcare construction project in Indianapolis, IN. Our organization is a dynamic construction consulting and management firm known for its high-quality outcomes across healthcare, government, education, and commercial sectors. Manage and process RFIs (Requests for Information) and submittals, ensuring completeness and readiness before submission to architects. Coordinate and schedule project meetings; prepare and distribute meeting agendas and notes. Track project schedules and assist in updating timelines and deliverables. Support the Superintendent with assigned tasks, including safety documentation and participation in safety meetings, onsite coordination, and logistics. Assist in document control, drawing management, and version tracking using Autodesk and Procore. Communicate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure project alignment. Review construction documents and blueprints to identify and resolve discrepancies. Maintain logs and reports for RFIs, submittals, and other project documentation. Essential Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering. Minimum 1 year of experience on active construction job sites. Ability to review subcontractor-drafted RFIs for clarity, completeness, and relevance before submission to architects. Understanding of RFIs, submittals, and construction terminology. Familiarity with Procore and Autodesk (project management side). Strong organizational and communication skills. Willingness to learn and take initiative. Ability to work onsite and sign an NDA. Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with Bluebeam. Exposure to healthcare construction environments. Familiarity with safety protocols and OSHA standards. Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings. Bilingual abilities. Work Environment
This role requires working 40 hours per week, primarily onsite rather than in the office. The project includes multiple phases, with the first phase lasting 12 months. The smaller company structure allows for exposure to processes and responsibilities sooner, fostering more professional growth. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $67000.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
