Project Engineer
Full-Time | Exempt | Location: Colorado Springs, CO

We are seeking a motivated Project Engineer to support the successful execution of multiple, simultaneous commercial construction projects. In this pivotal role, you’ll assist in everything from contract review and document control to cost forecasting and schedule development, helping ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review project plans and contract documents to verify scope, identify discrepancies, and ensure alignment with architectural drawings.
  • Assist with estimating efforts by developing accurate pricing strategies and identifying key assumptions.
  • Support the development of project schedules in collaboration with subcontractors; incorporate and track these in the master job schedule.
  • Monitor and manage submittals, RFIs, and procurement timelines to align with the Critical Path Method (CPM) schedule.
  • Work closely with project teams to maintain quality control, safety, compliance, and effective communication throughout all phases.
  • Track project changes and their impact on cost and scheduling; assist in forecasting profit margins and overall financial performance.
  • Oversee project closeout processes, including as-builts, O&M manuals, warranties, and punch list items.
  • Conduct jobsite visits to support documentation, compliance, and performance monitoring.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with architects, vendors, subcontractors, and internal staff to ensure project success
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree (or in pursuit) in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • 1–2 years of relevant experience in commercial construction (internships or co-ops may apply).
  • Strong understanding of architectural drawings, specifications, and technical standards.
  • OSHA 10 certification required.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-driven environment.
  • Clean driving record and valid driver’s license; background check required.
