Role Overview

We’re seeking a Project Engineer to support the MEP team on a manufacturing facility project in Jeffersonville, IN. This individual will play a key role in field coordination, documentation, and day-to-day support for complex mechanical, electrical, process piping, and chemical/gas systems.


This is a boots-on-the-ground role that blends engineering knowledge with site management duties — ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced industrial construction environments and wants to grow into a lead field role.


Key Responsibilities
  • Support the MEP Superintendent and Project Manager in overseeing mechanical, electrical, process piping, and chemical/gas installations
  • Assist with coordination between trades and subcontractors in the field
  • Track and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and field documentation
  • Participate in daily coordination, safety, and progress meetings
  • Conduct site walks to validate installations, monitor progress, and flag potential issues early
  • Review construction drawings, redlines, and P&IDs to assist in field execution
  • Coordinate material deliveries, procurement tracking, and look-ahead planning
  • Maintain daily reports, inspection logs, and project records
Requirements:
  • 2–5 years of experience as a Project Engineer, Field Engineer, or Assistant Site Manager in construction
  • Strong familiarity with industrial MEP systems — especially process piping, gas/chemical systems, and electrical coordination
  • Experience supporting projects in manufacturing, solar, semiconductor, or mission-critical sectors is highly preferred
  • Strong organizational, communication, and coordination skills
  • Proficient with construction documents and field tracking tools
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
