Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Full-time Project Engineer / Manager to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing complex aerospace projects, managing infrastructure upgrades, and optimizing manufacturing processes. This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of aerospace industry standards and practices.
Key Responsibilities- Project Management:
- Lead and manage multiple aerospace projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion within budget and quality standards.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, resource allocation plans, and risk management strategies.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, and supply chain management.
- Conduct regular project status meetings and provide updates to stakeholders and senior management.
- Implement and maintain project management best practices and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Lean, Six Sigma).
- Identify and resolve project issues and conflicts, escalating when necessary.
- Infrastructure Upgrades:
- Assess current infrastructure and identify areas for improvement and modernization.
- Plan and oversee the implementation of infrastructure upgrades, including facilities, equipment, and technology systems.
- Collaborate with IT and facilities teams to ensure seamless integration of new technologies and systems.
- Develop and manage budgets for infrastructure improvement projects.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and safety standards during upgrade processes.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and equipment to enhance operational efficiency.
- Manufacturing Optimization:
- Analyze existing manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for improvement and cost reduction.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with production teams to optimize workflow, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
- Develop and implement quality control measures to ensure adherence to aerospace industry standards.
- Oversee the integration of new manufacturing technologies and automation systems.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement data-driven strategies for process enhancement.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Mentor and guide project team members, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Identify skill gaps within the team and implement training and development programs.
- Promote a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's Engineering Degree (Mechanical, Aerospace, or Electrical preferred)
- 3+ years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment.
