Position Description: We are looking for a Professional Engineer to join our Community Design Team to improve infrastructure in our Tampa, Orlando or Palm Bay office. Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, ten to fifteen years of experience in design and project/task management and a Florida Professional Engineer license. Knowledge of Florida permitting at a local, regional, state, and national level and CADD is also required. A Project Manager Certification is preferred. Candidates must be self-motivated and able to work well with others. A flexible hybrid-remote work schedule available after 90 days of employment. Typical responsibilities include:
Manage and provide technical support for transportation/roadway design (local and Florida Department of Transportation), stormwater, potable water and wastewater, and general municipal civil engineering projects
Responsible for project proposal development including positioning, approach, preparation and pricing
Responsible for project execution including scope, schedule and budget
Manage resources to successfully deliver project to client on time and under budget while meeting or exceeding client expectations
Provide design/technical expertise to project
Coordinate the design function with various team members on the project
Ensure project engineers have knowledge and tools to complete tasks
Maintain lasting client relationships
Generate additional sales through business development activities
Supervise engineering project review (QA/QC) process
Develop and complete applications, permits, reports and/or specifications as required
Assist with project reports and technical presentations
Attend client, staff and project meetings
Estimate fees, review project plans and specifications
Maintain a safe working environment
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering required
Master's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering preferred
Skills/Experience:
10 to 15 years of design and project/task management experience required
Florida Professional Engineer license required
knowledge of local, state and national permitting required
knowledge of CADD required
