Job Overview: In this highly impactful role, you will use your mechanical design engineering skills to bring innovative products to life. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product visions, explore new form factors, and develop cutting-edge product architectures. This role involves integrating mechanisms, sensors, and electromechanical components while ensuring designs meet functional, cosmetic, and manufacturability requirements. You will play a key role in creating products that form the physical connection between users and technology.
Responsibilities: Collaborate with industrial designers, hardware, software, product integrity, and technology teams to define the vision of a product. Explore multiple product form factors and develop new product architectures. Define kinematic behaviors to support ergonomic optimization. Integrate mechanisms, sensors, and other electromechanical components. Partner with internal manufacturing teams and external vendors to optimize designs for function, cosmetics, and manufacturability. Ensure design meets requirements through stress and tolerance analysis, DFMEA, prototyping, testing, and failure analysis. Qualifications: 2+ years of experience in a mechanical engineering design role. Strong engineering fundamentals: statics, strength of materials, kinematics, mechanism design, and manufacturing. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly communicate design ideas and contribute to brainstorming sessions. Eagerness to work in a dynamic environment and dependably complete individual work. Experience in other relevant industries that promote diverse perspectives and approaches to problem-solving. A passion for learning and developing new skills on the job.
Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in mechanical engineering or a closely related field.

Pay Range: $65 - $70
The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
