Education/Experience/Licensure: Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or related field from an accredited university ( required ) Master of Science or other advanced degree in engineering (preferred) PE registration (highly preferred) – or ability to obtain PE License within one year of employment ( required ) Minimum of 8 years’ experience in design and 4 years’ experience in design of modifications in nuclear (DOE or commercial) plants Experience working with multiple operating nuclear clients and vendors (highly preferred) On-site and past unescorted access (highly preferred) or ability to obtain unescorted access at an operating or construction nuclear plant ( required ) Experience with Industry Standard Design Procedure IP-ENG-001 ( required ) Knowledgeable of Industry Standard Digital Design Engineering NISP-EN-04 ( required ) Machine design experience (preferred)
Responsibilities: Oversee proposal developmental and guide other engineers in the development of deliverables for nuclear projects within the Electrical and Controls disciplines Act as a Project Engineer for Electrical and I&C projects when required Act as a technical point of contact for the customer, leading discipline specific engineering teams, and providing area expertise in development of industry standard design and calculations associated with design and construction of commercial nuclear modifications Be responsible for working with other engineers and designers to prepare design change packages for modifications at operating nuclear plants and other associated nuclear facilities Be proficient in preparation of engineering change packages (EC’s) Prepare scoping documents and proposals to determine extent of modifications required, preparing cost estimates for engineering/design activities for Electrical and I&C Conduct field walkdowns to determine existing configuration of plant structures, systems, and components Provide coaching and supervision to Electrical and I&C discipline engineers and support engineering management in resource management and allocation for the assigned discipline
