We're seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to take on a high-impact, high-visibility role on a flagship PRIME contract. Here’s What Your Day-to-Day Might Include
Translating user needs, CONOPS, and architectural concepts into clear, actionable system requirements
Leading system design, development, and integration initiatives from concept to deployment
Collaborating with stakeholders to refine requirements and assess technical feasibility
Serving as the technical liaison between engineering teams, government partners, and leadership
Authoring and reviewing technical documents, including architecture diagrams, design plans, and test strategies
Driving the adoption and integration of new technologies into existing workflows
Ensuring engineering deliverables are accurate, comprehensive, and aligned with project objectives
Facilitating sprint planning, retrospectives, and technical decision-making processes
Minimum Qualifications
Experience: 20+ years of Systems Engineering experience supporting large-scale or mission-critical programs
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering Management, or related technical field (An additional 5 years of experience may be substituted for the degree)
Clearance: TS/SCI with FS Polygraph (Active and Current)
Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen
Required Skills
Proven ability to lead cross-functional engineering efforts across the full system lifecycle
Expertise in developing system specifications, technical documentation, and implementation strategies
Strong interpersonal skills with a track record of effective stakeholder collaboration
Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality, mission-aligned results under tight timelines
Skilled in communication, conflict resolution, and facilitating technical discussions
Desired Qualifications
Familiarity with modern DevOps and Agile engineering practices
Experience working on PRIME contracts within the Intelligence Community
Master's degree in a related technical discipline
Exposure to cloud-based architectures and emerging defense technologies
Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and version control systems
