Principal Software Engineer DIGITAL ASSETS APIS The Role
As the Principal Software Engineer for Digital Assets APIs, you will be responsible for building and maintaining a new API platform for accessing Fidelity Digital Assets services. This is a hands-on role where you will work across engineering, architecture, and product teams to deliver a complete API offering that is reliable, resilient, and meets the needs of our customers.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
Bachelor's degree in computer science
8+ years of software engineering experience
Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot
Expert in designing, building, and documenting customer facing RESTful APIs
Experience with WebSockets and/or FIX APIs is a plus
Prior experience designing and building large scale production distributed systems to support public facing websites
Familiarity with AWS services architecture and solution patterns is preferred
Exposure to infrastructure as code, test automation, CI/CD, and containerization
Proficient in databases and SQL
Ability to build reliable software that can withstand unreliable environments
Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks at a given time
Ability to collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements
