Principal Sales Engineer — SaaS Platform for Product & Data Teams
Full-time | Remote (U.S.) | $195k–$217k + Equity

About the Opportunity
A fast-growing SaaS startup is transforming how product and engineering teams operate—offering a powerful blend of AI-powered tools and expert insights to help companies ship higher-quality software, faster. With a rapidly scaling data-centric platform, they’re hiring a Principal Sales Engineer to lead the technical sales process and play a pivotal role in onboarding and integrating customers.

This is a high-impact, customer-facing role that combines technical know-how with strong consultative and communication skills. You’ll collaborate directly with the founding team to refine the sales motion, connect complex systems, and ensure customers realize full value from the product.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the technical sales cycle, supporting customer conversations, solution design, and implementation

  • Connect with product, engineering, and data teams to deeply understand their use cases and provide tailored solutions

  • Work with internal teams to iterate on the sales playbook and support scaling efforts

  • Integrate customer data sources, build proof-of-concepts, and solve technical issues hands-on

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and help guide customers through onboarding, deployment, and expansion

What We’re Looking For

  • 6+ years in a Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, TPM, or Implementation role, ideally in SaaS or data-heavy platforms

  • Strong technical background, including the ability to write or understand code (JavaScript/TypeScript, SQL, etc.)

  • Experience working with cross-functional teams—product, data, and engineering stakeholders

  • Comfortable working in a startup environment and adapting to a fast-paced, high-growth setting

  • Must be U.S.-based and able to work West Coast hours

  • Visa sponsorship not available

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $195,000 – $217,000

  • Competitive equity package

  • Fully remote (U.S. only) with preference for West Coast alignment
