We are on a journey of continuous growth - now looking for our next star - a passionate Principal Product Development Engineer within our Engineering capability. This position reports to Director, Engineering Services and will work in Elkhart, IN.

About the position

As a Principal Product Development Engineer in the Engineering team, you will be involved in designing and developing cutting-edge products that improve the lives of our customers. This position will contribute to the creation of innovative solutions in the field of mobile living. You will be at the forefront of designing and developing groundbreaking products that set new standards in the industry. Your work will not only shape the future of mobile living but also contribute to the seamless integration of technology, design, and functionality.

Your main responsibilities

Product Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new and innovative products, from concept to production. Lead in the design, prototyping, and testing phases.

Design and Prototyping: Utilize CAD software and prototyping tools to create detailed product designs, 3D models, and prototypes for testing and evaluation. Analyze existing product designs and propose improvements to enhance functionality, durability, and cost-effectiveness.

Testing and Validation: Lead in designing and conducting product tests to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and performance standards. Analyze test results and provide recommendations for improvements.

Documentation: Maintain detailed records of design specifications, test plans, and project progress. Prepare technical documentation, including drawings and specifications.

Cost Analysis: Lead cost analysis and feasibility studies to optimize product designs for cost efficiency without compromising quality.

Quality Assurance: Assist and support the development and implementation of quality control processes to ensure that products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Continuous Improvement: Identify and lead opportunities for process improvement and innovation, contributing to the company's culture of continuous learning and development.

Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, manufacturing, quality, and marketing, to ensure the successful launch.
