Ignite is currently seeking a driven, detail-oriented Principal Missile Defense System Requirements Engineer to join our team supporting the Missile Defense Agency’s System Ground-based Midcourse Defense Directorate., in Huntsville, AL. This position is expected to be onsite. This position will support the implementation and execution of a disciplined systems engineering process and architecture to produce System-level technical documents necessary to establish the basis for MDA Program Office engineering. Job Requirements Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: · Provide senior level support to the development and maintenance of system architectures in CAMEO. · Provide CAMEO Administration support to a diverse architecture and requirements team. · Provide senior-level support to the definition, management, and execution of requirements traceability; allocation of MDA Technical Core Standards adherence planning · Lead MBSE Architecture development and implementation efforts for Reference Architecture products in a digital engineering environment · Foster collaborative engineering technical interchanges across the MDA engineering community for requirements and architecture development Job Requirements and Qualifications: Required Qualifications · Master’s degree in a STEM field with a minimum 12+ years of experience. · Active Secret clearance · Technical expertise supporting government and contracting staff in systems and digital engineering · Experience in MBSE tools (CAMEO), principles, and methodologies for development, requirements, design, and analysis of architectures in complex DoD projects · Experience in the development, management, and planning for current and future capabilities as they relate to missile defense, specifically related to the functional portion of the system · Experience in reviewing, analyzing, and providing recommendations on the development, addition, variances, and changes to functional requirements as well as providing quality checks on technical documentation and products · Senior-level experience in document development, presentations, change requests, and other engineering products · Experience with interacting and supporting high level government customers (Senior NH-4 director-level and above) · Understanding of Industry/DoD engineering best practices, Desired Qualifications · INCOSE CSEP or ESEP certification · Previous MDA experience · Knowledge of MDA systems engineering processes · Knowledge of ballistic, cruise, and hypersonic missile defense fundamentals Security Clearance Requirements: Must have an active Secret Security Clearance Education Requirements: · Master’s Degree in STEM Discipline Other Requirements: Must be a US citizen and be able to obtain and hold an active Security Clearance We are equal opportunity/affirmative action employers, committed to diversity in the workplace.
