The position can be based in Chicago, NY, or London. Specific objectives of the Emerging Technology team include: Implementing Gen AI/ML technology with business and product owners Establishing Emerging Tech Governance covering policies, guidelines, and processes for AI/ML components and third-party AI governance Leading and supporting enterprise-level AI exploration tools and capabilities Providing guidance for the safe development and deployment of AI What We Offer: A high-impact role with significant visibility working on flagship Fitch products Opportunity to work in the cutting-edge field of machine learning and data science A supportive work culture promoting work-life balance Responsibilities: 5+ years of experience as a ML or AI engineer with a strong software engineering background (10+ years total) Collaborate with product squads to build, integrate, and deploy GenAI and data science solutions, sharing best practices Design and develop Gen AI and MLOps platforms and solutions to address business challenges Communicate complex data science/ML concepts effectively to stakeholders Develop and deploy machine learning and Gen AI solutions supporting experimentation and innovation Work with data scientists to identify innovative solutions leveraging data Design scalable solutions and workflows using machine learning, GenAI, and deep learning models Maintain SLAs for production applications, create performance metrics, and improve solutions Utilize AWS and Azure cloud services to enable data workflows Construct software artifacts using Python/Java and orchestration platforms like Airflow Minimum Requirements: 5+ years of experience as a ML or AI engineer Proficiency in deep learning, NLP, neural networks, and other algorithms Strong fundamentals in software and ML development (code quality, testing, version control, optimization) Experience building Gen AI frameworks and fine-tuning LLMs Experience with search and information retrieval systems Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS EKS) Familiarity with cloud services (AWS Bedrock, S3, Sagemaker; Azure AI Search, OpenAI, Blob Storage) Master's degree or higher in relevant fields Preferred Qualifications: Passion for data and predictive analytics Ability to work effectively in distributed and fast-paced environments Knowledge of credit ratings agencies and global data products Excellent communication skills Advocacy for good coding and architectural practices Strong interpersonal skills and proactive teamwork Why Fitch?
