Position:
The Data Center Power Control (PWC) team has the mission to rapidly innovate ADI power control device solutions, solving growing customer power density, efficiency and reliability challenges acrossdatacenter, automotive and industrial markets. We are seeking a creative, motivated, experienced design architect for our core power controllers strategy. Your expertise will be key to the creation of high-performance, differentiated and cost-effective IC solutions, pushing the boundaries of technology to solve these complex customer challenges. In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including mixed signal designers, digital designers, product definers, field teams and marketing, to define specifications and develop circuit architectures, creatinginnovative and novel architectural designsto out-innovate and outpace our competitors.
Key Responsibilities:
Architecture Development: Define and design IC architectures for core power controller products, ensuring they meet lead customer requirements.
Collaboration: Work closely with digital and analog mixed signal designers to share system-level requirements, agree on desired behaviour, and verify delivered solutions. Collaborate with systems, marketing, and applications engineering teams to bring differentiated power solutions to market.
Performance Optimization: Optimize design performance, reliability, and efficiency through innovative design solutions.
Prototyping and Silicon Validation: Support IC prototyping, testing, and validation processes.Guide prototype system development to test and validate IC designs, including pre-silicon emulation systems.
Documentation: Lead design reviews, maintain detailed records of design architectures to ensure effective communication across team, decisions, and results validation
Continuous Learning: Stay updated with advancements in IC design technologies and methodologies.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, or a related field.
Experience: Over 15 years of experience in IC design architecture, particularly in power controller technology. Be able to demonstrate leadership or key roles in multiple integrated designs that have been introduced to the market.
Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Demonstrate advanced knowledge in circuit theory and design.
Tools and Design Environments: Proficiency with Cadence analog design environment, including schematic entry, analog and mixed-signal simulation. Proficiency with other EDA tools targeted to mixed signal or digital design flows. Behavioural modelling of analog circuits and analog mixed signal (AMS) verification techniques. Knowledge of software tools useful for top-down design approach like Simplis, Simulink, Mathcad, Matlab
Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.

Published technical papers or issued patents in power electronics.

Actual wage offered may vary depending on work location, experience, education, training, external market data, internal pay equity, or other bona fide factors.
This position qualifies for a discretionary performance-based bonus which is based on personal and company factors.
