Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Client Acquisition:
Bring existing clients and relationships to position
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the Houston market.
Build and maintain strong relationships with developers, municipalities, and key industry stakeholders.
Lead proposals, presentations, and negotiations to secure new projects.
Office Leadership & Operations:
Establish and grow the Houston office, including hiring and managing staff.
Provide mentorship, training, and performance management for team members.
Ensure the office operates efficiently while maintaining high-quality project delivery.
Project & Technical Oversight:
Lead land development projects from concept to completion, ensuring quality, budget, and timeline adherence.
Provide technical guidance and ensure compliance with local regulations and codes.
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, including architects, surveyors, and contractors.
Financial & P&L Management:
Oversee office financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and profitability.
Monitor project budgets, invoicing, and cash flow to ensure financial success.
Drive strategic growth and operational efficiency for long-term success.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas (or ability to obtain quickly).
7+ years of civil engineering experience with a focus on land development.
Proven business development experience with a strong industry network in Texas.
Demonstrated leadership experience, including office/staff management.
Strong understanding of local land development regulations and permitting processes.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
