Our client located in the Brookfield area of Wisconsin is adding an onsite PLC Electrical Engineer to their growing team. Qualified candidates must possess the skills to program Allen Bradley PLC controls, AC/DC motors and be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements and Responsibilities:
Develop and design electrical control systems meeting engineering standards, applicable codes, customer specifications, and within cost constraints.
Develop, design, program, and debug PLC’s, operator interfaces, communication devices, and frequency drives.
Review and interpret customer specifications and sales agreements.
Work with customers and vendors on equipment design.
Ensure conformance to codes and to company standards for quality and manufacturability.
Design control systems in AutoCAD Electrical.
Evaluate and select components and parts for products.
Interface with mechanical engineering and field service to ensure quality products.
Provide technical support to sales, applications and field service as needed.
Stay current and informed of new developments in industry and new parts or methods to improve products or product designs.
Comply with all housekeeping procedures, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Skills and Abilities:
Bachelor of Science in an engineering discipline or equivalent.
Must have experience designing, developing and programming PLC controls (Allen Bradley) and AC/DC motor controls.
A high degree of technical aptitude with strong hands-on experience with mechanisms and machinery.
Ideal candidates will be creative designers and problem solvers as well as strong troubleshooters.
Proficiency with CAD software. AutoCAD is a plus.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and team building skills.
Ability to travel up to 25% currently this is targeted to move down to 15% in the next year, the majority of travel is throughout Wisconsin 60%, domestically 30% and internationally (Canada and Mexico) 10%.
