Job Summary:
The OT Generalist is a versatile role responsible for a wide range of tasks within the operational technology environment. This includes conducting health reviews, evaluating server infrastructure, creating domain controllers, and working with the network engineer to do on-site network configuration and troubleshooting. The OT Generalist will also be involved in creating and managing OU structures, GPOs, and DNS reverse lookup zones.
Key Responsibilities:
• On-Site cutover of systems: Execute system cutovers on-site to ensure smooth transitions.
• Conduct secondary health reviews of domains: Perform thorough health reviews to maintain domain integrity.
• Evaluate server infrastructure capacity and request quotes for new equipment if needed: Assess server capacity and procure necessary equipment.
• Create and configure domain controllers and trusts: Set up and manage domain controllers and trust relationships.
• Manage OU structures, GPOs, and Sites and Services: Organize and maintain Organizational Units, Group Policy Objects, and Sites and Services.
• Create and connect process machines to appropriate domains: Ensure process machines are properly integrated into domains.
• Ensure proper patching and security tool setup for all machines: Implement patching and security measures for all systems.
• Specialize in at least one area of OT to provide deep expertise when needed: Develop expertise in a specific OT area to offer specialized support.
• Install and configure security tools as needed: Implement and configure necessary security tools.
Skills Required:
• Versatility in OT tasks: Ability to handle a wide range of operational technology tasks.
• Specialization in at least one OT area: Expertise in a specific OT domain.
• Technical knowledge of OT systems and infrastructure: Strong understanding of OT systems and infrastructure.
• Cybersecurity knowledge: Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and practices.
• Communication and coordination skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Physical requirements: Ability to travel at least % of the time, carry up to pounds, and navigate industrial settings safely.
Requirements:
• Minimum of Associates Degree in a technical area (computer science, networking, engineering, Automation, Electrical etc.), Bachelor’s Degree preferred: Educational background in relevant technical fields.
• + years of experience in network design and implementation: Extensive experience in network engineering.
• Experience with Cisco and Palo Alto firewalls: Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting these firewalls.
• Strong problem-solving skills: Ability to identify and resolve network issues effectively.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment: Collaborative mindset and ability to work well with others.

• Expected travel %: Willingness to travel as required.
Preferred experience:
• Experience with domain controllers, OU structures, GPOs, and DNS reverse lookup zones: Proficiency in managing these components.
• Experience in network configuration and troubleshooting: Ability to work with network engineers on-site.
• Experience in industrial settings: Familiarity with navigating and working in industrial environments.
• Experience with Lansweeper and network monitoring applications: Familiarity with network discovery and monitoring tools.
• Experience in operational technology environments: Understanding of OT systems and environments.
• Experience in evaluating network equipment: Ability to assess network equipment for performance and warranty status.
Note: OT Generalist (onsite) is expected to travel to the following locations: (% travel)
