We are seeking an experienced Network Routing Design Engineer Senior to join our team in support of our DOD / Government Client. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and optimize complex routing solutions to ensure high performance, reliability, and scalability of our network infrastructure. This role requires advanced technical expertise in routing protocols, hands-on problem-solving, and a collaborative mindset to drive strategic initiatives. Key Responsibilities Design and Implementation : Develop and deploy advanced routing architectures utilizing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and MPLS to support business operations and growth. Optimization and Troubleshooting : Analyze and enhance network routing for performance, scalability, and redundancy. Diagnose and resolve complex routing and connectivity issues in a timely manner. Automation and Innovation : Leverage automation tools (Python, Ansible, Terraform) to streamline routing configurations and improve efficiency. Stay updated on emerging technologies to integrate innovative solutions. Documentation and Reporting : Maintain accurate and up-to-date network diagrams, configurations, and technical documentation. Generate performance reports and provide strategic insights to leadership. Collaboration and Leadership : Partner with cross-functional teams to align network design with organizational goals. Mentor and guide junior engineers to elevate team capabilities. Qualifications Education : Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master s degree preferred). Experience : Minimum 7+ years in network engineering, with substantial expertise in routing and network design for enterprise or service provider environments. (10+ preferred) Required Skills Advanced knowledge of routing protocols : BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and MPLS. Experience with WAN, SD-WAN, and MPLS technologies. Proficiency in network monitoring and analysis tools (e.G., SolarWinds, Cisco Prime, NetFlow). Familiarity with network security principles and best practices. Scripting and automation skills with tools like Python, Ansible, or Terraform (preferred). Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or JNCIE (highly preferred). Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving abilities.
