Summary:

Our client is seeking a Network Engineer to join their team! This contract position will support hands-on network infrastructure tasks, including equipment setup, cabling, wireless configuration, and network inventory management. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented with experience in network deployments and a proactive approach to documentation and process improvement.

The contract duration for this position is through the end of 2025; however, it is likely to be extended into 2026 due to the current workload.

Responsibilities:

• Rack and stack network equipment
• Configure, troubleshoot, and deploy switches, access points (APs), power distribution units (PDUs), and other networking hardware
• Perform cabling clean-up and organization in intermediate distribution frames (IDFs)
• Maintain and configure wireless LAN environments
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with cabling infrastructure
• Manage network equipment inventory and ensure accurate tracking
• Gather, update, and maintain network documentation and diagrams
• Maintain network management application databases and CMDB tools
• Support continuous improvement by addressing network-related business process issues through architecture design and implementation
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience with deploying and troubleshooting network equipment
• Familiarity with cabling standards and troubleshooting physical network connections
• Experience in maintaining and configuring wireless LANs
• Ability to manage and update network documentation and inventory systems
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with CMDB tools and network management applications
• Background in network architecture or business process re-engineering
