As a Network Development Engineer, you will be an integral part of a team that works collaboratively with Systems Development Engineers to develop innovative tools and processes aimed at monitoring, operating, and expanding our ground network infrastructure to support millions of users worldwide. Your role will involve: Automating repetitive tasks to enhance operational efficiency and increase infrastructure availability. Collaborating with network, systems, and software engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of new designs and products. Creating tools to assess and enhance the performance and reliability of Kuiper's Ground Infrastructure. Tackling network events to drive root cause resolution. Providing critical operations support, taking part in an on-call rotation to maintain service continuity. Acting as the Network Subject Matter Expert for the operations of Kuiper's ground gateways and backbone connectivity. A Day in the Life: Your day-to-day responsibilities will include mentoring, designing for operational excellence, and collaborating with various stakeholders. Tasks will vary from automation scripting work to engaging in design discussions and coordinating with both internal teams and external partners. About the Team: The team consists of leaders, Systems, and Network Development Engineers, working diligently across multiple regions to ensure the Kuiper Ground Infrastructure remains operational for our customers. This position may involve access to technology that is subject to export control regulations. Hence, employment is contingent upon obtaining necessary export licenses or governmental approvals. Basic Qualifications: 4+ years of experience with major internet routing protocols. 3+ years of experience in a Linux/Unix environment. 1+ year of experience in automation scripting with Python, Bash, Shell, or Perl. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with AWS services. A strong desire to learn about technology and customer needs. The base pay for this position varies from $127,400/year to $212,800/year based on location and may also include a total compensation package of equity and other benefits.
