Mobile Veterinarian - Part Time

We are seeking an In-Home, Associate Veterinarian to join our Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice in St. Louis. In this role you will provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care to pets and families at their homes, supporting them during one of life's most meaningful moments.

You will work a flexible 2‑5 day per week schedule, with an average of 3–4 un‑rushed appointments per day, allowing more time with families and less time on paperwork.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular in‑home visits to assess and treat patients in comfort.
  • Offer euthanasia services and family support as needed.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and handle minimal paperwork.
  • Collaborate with clinic staff and mentors for continuity of care.
  • Adhere to local regulations and safety protocols.

Qualifications

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM, VMD, or BVMS) from an accredited program.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and reliable vehicle for travel.
  • Availability to work some weekends and adapt to 2‑5 day per week schedules.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance.
  • Positive communication and empathy for pet owners.
  • Background and motor‑vehicle record checks required.
