We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer/Designer to join our team in a role that blends hands-on product design with opportunities for continued professional development. This position is well suited for an engineer with a solid foundation in mechanical/structural design who is ready to contribute independently, collaborate with senior engineers and designers, and take ownership of project components from concept through production.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Design and model mechanical/structural parts and assemblies using Autodesk Inventor
  • Review of Architectural and Structural plans for projects
  • Generate and maintain detailed 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings to support development and production
  • Participate in sustaining engineering activities to improve or maintain current product types
  • Assist other designers when needed and support structural layout development for new and existing designs
  • Perform research to evaluate feasibility, functionality, and performance of components and systems
  • Collaborate across departments when needed to meet engineering and production deadlines

Job Requirements: 

  • Associate Degree in Engineering Design or similar field of study
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or civil engineering (structural focus) is preferred
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in mechanical or structural design preferred
  • Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor or comparable CAD software
  • Structural detailing experience is preferred
  • Working knowledge of standard product design practices, manufacturing processes, and regulatory guidelines
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal

Physical Requirements: 

  • Frequent use of hands for tools, CAD equipment, and materials handling
  • Occasional standing, kneeling, or lifting (up to 50 lbs) may be required
  • Visual acuity necessary for detailed design and inspection tasks
