As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in transforming groundbreaking concepts into operational reality on the production floor. Key Responsibilities:
Drive the journey from conceptual equipment design to full-scale production readiness, including all stages of development and testing. Lead both external equipment suppliers and internal design teams in the development and deployment of high-performance machinery. Establish station-level requirements such as automation levels, buffering, and redundancy. Collaborate with industrial engineering and production teams to devise effective material flow strategies. Define utility needs and devise layout strategies for efficient setup. Conduct PFMEAs, create timing charts, and perform risk assessments to ensure comprehensive planning and safety. Supervise installation procedures and coordinate with facilities and utilities for a seamless startup. Implement validation plans and develop complete documentation, including Manufacturing Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering. Minimum of 4 years of experience in manufacturing engineering with a strong background in equipment development. Proven track record of successful equipment installations and full-line implementations. Proficiency in CAD software, particularly SolidWorks; knowledge of Catia is advantageous. In-depth understanding of tolerance stack-ups, safety PLCs, guarding, and LOTO protocols. Experience with PLCs, including Allen Bradley, Siemens, and Beckhoff. Familiarity with MES architecture and database systems; experience with Python/MySQL is a plus. Willingness to travel as necessary, both domestically and internationally.
