Salary: $110,000 + Equity We are looking for a detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer to support the design and Manufactuing of panelized assemblies used in building applications. This role is responsible for creating shop drawings and bills of materials (BOMS) and for working closely with both internal teams and external suppliers to ensure manufacturability and performance. Develop and maintain detailed shop drawings for assemblies, panels, steel parts, mechanical interfaces and subcomponents Create, structure, and manage bills of materials (BOMs) for new and existing products Collaborate closely with suppliers to refine tolerances and ensure that drawings are optimized for real-world manufacturing processes. Interpret architectural and engineering plans to extract relevant mechanical and structural requirements. Standardize drawing practices and maintain document version control. Conduct prototype builds, integration and testing activities to validate component and system level design and transition of products to production. Work alongside the team on the factory floor to build, test, and refine processes in a fast-paced, hands-on, startup environment.
Requirements: Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or related STEM degree. Work Experience: 5+ years of relevant engineering experience Proficiency in CAD software. SolidWorks experience preferred. Experience generating shop drawings with proper tolerances and annotations. Familiarity with creating and managing BOMs in PLM/ERP systems. Ability to read and interpret engineering and architectural drawings. Experience with document control systems or revision tracking tools. Working Environment: Combination of office environment and a production shop floor environment requiring sitting/standing for extended periods of time; occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs; occasionally crouching or bending at the knees. Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) where required.
