Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to review and validate legacy and current Bill of Materials (BOMs), mechanical drawings, materials, and design specifications. The candidate will conduct detailed gap analyses to identify discrepancies in technical documentation and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality, to gather missing or updated data. Support for Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and driving BOM/documentation updates in SAP are essential. The role involves reviewing design intent, tolerances, and GD&T to ensure drawing accuracy and manufacturability. The candidate will utilize tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Excel for component/assembly evaluation and data entry.

Responsibilities:

• Review and validate legacy and current BOMs, mechanical drawings, materials, and design specifications.
• Conduct detailed gap analyses to identify discrepancies in technical documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality, to gather missing or updated data.
• Support Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and drive BOM/documentation updates in SAP.
• Review design intent, tolerances, and GD&T to ensure drawing accuracy and manufacturability.
• Utilize tools such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Excel for component/assembly evaluation and data entry.

Essential Skills:

• Mechanical Design Experience with Electromechanical products or systems.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD & SolidWorks.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP Systems.
• Familiarity working within Bill of Materials (BOMs).
• 35+ years of mechanical engineering experience in a design or product validation role.
• Proficiency with SAP and Engineering Change Request processes.
• Strong background in mechanical and electromechanical systems.
• Familiarity with BOM structure, revision control, and material selection.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specification documents.
• Experience with CAD platforms (SolidWorks, AutoCAD).

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Regulated industry experience (defense, medical, nuclear, etc.).
• Specific Validation & Drawing Revision Experience.
• Exposure to quality management systems.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $40.86 - $55.29/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
