Why are We Hiring for this Role: Design precision mechanical systems including joints, actuators, limbs, and structural frameworks for humanoid robots Develop and optimize lightweight, high-strength assemblies using advanced materials (carbon fiber, aluminum alloys, composites, etc.) Work closely with electrical and software teams to ensure integration and compatibility of all subsystems Create detailed CAD models, engineering drawings, and documentation using tools like SolidWorks or Creo Conduct FEA and motion analysis to validate structural integrity, dynamic performance, and energy efficiency Rapid prototyping using CNC machining, 3D printing, and additive manufacturing Participate in design reviews, testing, and iterative improvements based on field data Contribute to thermal, vibration, and fatigue testing of components in real-world and lab scenarios What Kind of Person are We Looking for: Proficiency in CAD and FEA tools Experience with motion systems (servo motors, gearboxes, linkages, etc) Strong understanding of kinematics, dynamics, and mechanical tolerancing Hands-on experience with prototyping, and rapid iteration Familiarity with collaborative robots or humanoid platforms is a strong plus Experience working with sensor integration, soft robotics, or compliant mechanisms Passion for building full sized robotic systems and improving human-robot interaction Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related field 3+ years of relevant experience in mechanical design, preferably in robotics or consumer electronics We provide market standard benefits (health, vision, dental, 401k, etc.). Join us for the culture and the mission, not for the benefits. The annual compensation is expected to be between $80,000 - $1,000,000. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
