Responsibilities:

•Provide a complete machine design with minimal assistance
•Ensure effective communication with customers, product and project managers, and team members in machine design with respect to customer requirements, operator operation, and schedule planning while managing multiple projects
•Support during part manufacturing and machine assembly as required for multiple projects
•Train other Mechanical Engineers and Engineering Techs

Requirements:

•BSME
•10+ years experience preferred
•Automotive industry machine design experience is desirable
•Basic machine design disciplines and practices
•Ability to complete complex analysis and calculations with assistance from a level lll ME
•Ability to run FEA on structural components
•Create 3d models of working machines
•Proficient in 3d Cad a must (Inventor & SolidWorks a plus)
•2d Cad design required for machine layout
•Basic understanding of pneumatics/hydraulics
•Ability to create & detail mechanical print sets
•Understanding of GD&T
•Ability to create and maintain bills of material for projects
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office
•Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers using tact and diplomacy
•Ability to travel domestically (5-10%)

Pay based on experience up to $110,000/year
