As Mechanical Engineer (CAD Design & Testing) on the Engineering team, you will : Utilize 3D CAD software to design and create detailed models, drawings, and assemblies of mechanical components and systems. Generate new product concepts that meet project timing goals of technical demonstrations. Work with cross-functional, international teams to define product requirements and technical specifications. Use rapid prototyping, shop tools, and hand tools to fabricate and build product prototypes. Conduct thorough inspections and testing of mechanical components and assemblies to ensure they meet defined quality standards and specifications. Work closely with manufacturing partners to ensure the quality of the overall product, components, and parts. Conduct audits and provide feedback for continuous improvement. Establish and maintain strong relationships with manufacturing partners to ensure timely resolution of quality-related issues. Travel to Manufacturing facilities and client sites: up to 40% Qualifications
Qualifications we're looking for. Experience:  Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
Minimum 4 years of proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer, preferably in product design and development
Experience with plastics manufacturing, including injection molding and extrusions
Familiarity with electronic assemblies and mechanical enclosures is a strong plus
Experience conducting mechanical testing: developing test plans, executing tests, and analyzing test data
Hands-on experience with measurement equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometer gauges)
Skills:  Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities with meticulous attention to detail
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Catia) for 2D/3D modeling, especially for mechanical systems
Solid knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes
Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to mechanical design and testing
Experience with 3D printing and rapid prototyping techniques
Strong project documentation and version control practices
Abilities:  Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for diverse stakeholders
Proven ability to work collaboratively across engineering, design, and production teams in a fast-paced, iterative environment
Capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines, while maintaining a high standard of quality
Strong sense of ownership, initiative, and continuous improvement mindset
