: Our design engineers work as part of a team to support: product designs, manufacturing methods, and product improvements. This requires performing engineering calculations, creation and review of part models and drawings, and the generation of technical documentation. They also provide hands-on technical support for the manufacture, assembly, and testing of prototype equipment on-site as well as interfacing with suppliers, sales engineers, and project/product managers to develop new innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities: Take products from concept to production with a practical understanding of manufacturing and solid engineering fundamentals. Provide innovative solutions to product design and development, and DFM. Creation and review of bills of materials, manuals, and plant fabrication drawings. Complete and review mechanical design and engineering calculations. Machine design materials selection, stress analysis, and structural optimization.
Qualifications:
Required: 3D CAD design experience (Autodesk Inventor preferred) Experience with industrial refrigeration
Preferred: Proven manufacturing background. Ability to manage multiple projects effectively. Experience in design for assembly and design for manufacturability. Experience with metal fabrication and assembly processes. Ability to successfully manage both up and down within the organization.
Education: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering with 3-5+ years related experience
