Successful and growing Architecture and Engineering firm is seeking a qualified Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team.

The ideal candidate will have :

* Bachelor of Science in engineering degree from an accredited university preferred * 3 - 5 years practical experience with mechanical design, specifically on commercial projects (restaurant / retail) * FE/EIT highly preferred * On the path to becoming a PE preferred, not required * The role will be +80% design and production, with the remainder being some level of coordination and project management * HVAC design including heat load calculations, system layout and duct sizing * Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD 2010 or newer (we are using 2022, transitioning to 2024 currently) * Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products * The ability to read, write and speak fluent English is required * Great attitude and looking to learn and grow in a team environment

Daily activities will consist of :

* Working with senior engineering team members in the technical execution of the assigned project duties * Assist the project team in the production of projects, balancing deadlines and budgets to maintain the highest quality * Assist senior staff in the development of technical construction documents including drawings and specifications * Under appropriate supervision, actively practice engineering calculations and perform system designs
