Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year, plus Quarterly Bonus and Generous 401K
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform engineering assignments in a timely manner under the guidance of more senior engineers.
- Apply engineering method for orderly, understandable execution of calculations.
- Assist with field and analytical evaluations of designs to enhance performance and durability.
- Create and revise engineering and manufacturing drawings, specifications, and material requirements.
- Participate actively in vendor and customer meetings to present findings and progress.
- Make field trips, including underground, to observe products in operation and identify improvement areas.
- Conduct reviews and resolve deviation requests for drawing revisions to support manufacturing processes.
- Review customer orders to determine and schedule the engineering required for support.
- Approve current engineering records before release to manufacturing for production.
- Assist in quality audits and product testing as assigned, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Edit and approve content for technical publications and customer documentation.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical or Material Science Engineering.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Mechanical and mathematical aptitude with the ability to apply analytical solutions effectively.
- Understanding of mechanical engineering principles and product design/application.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Dependability and ability to maintain a flexible schedule for potential domestic and international travel.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in a mechanical or R&D engineering role.
- Experience with AutoCAD, FEA, 3D Modeling, and Drafting.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes specifically related to mining and ground control products.
- Strong technical and functional acumen with the ability to make confident decisions.
- Leadership abilities with experience in managing small teams or projects.
