About the Role: As a  Marine HVAC Field Service Engineer , you'll play a critical role in ensuring the optimal functioning of climate control systems on marine vessels and offshore platforms. This dynamic position requires a highly skilled and adaptable individual who can independently handle complex installations, maintenance, and repairs of air-conditioning and cooling systems in diverse and often challenging environments. You'll be the go-to expert for diagnosing and resolving malfunctions, performing intricate technical analyses, and providing essential service support for both new and existing installations.
This role involves significant domestic and international travel, requiring you to be available 24/7 to address urgent customer needs, often aboard cruise ships and in various ports around the world.
This position can be worked onsite in Syracuse, NY or worked remotely from one of the following states: New York, Virginia, North Carolina, Florida, Texas, California, Oregon, Washington.
Role Responsibilities: Install, maintain, and repair air-conditioning and cool installations on board of ships and offshore islands in alternating circumstances and independently perform complex services. Perform analyses and advanced technical test procedures on mechanical and electrical systems. Provide service support and execute commissioning of new installations in consultation with the owner and/or the new equipment team. Detect damages on technical installations and submit reports. High degree of domestic and international travel is required (up to 80%). Basic Qualifications: High school diploma or G.E.D. EPA Certification for refrigerant. 3+ years’ experience servicing and repairing chiller units. Must be available 24/7 to respond to unplanned customer requirements; this includes extended business travel outside of the United States (primarily to cruise ships and ports).
